Professional Training Courses

Hello! Doug and Joseph have been teaching at the JHU EP for around 10 years. At times our students suggest "you guys should teach this course as a professional class -- engineers would love it!"

One of the major goals of our EP classes is to ensure that students have hands-on time to develop a real understanding of the material being discussed. We would ensure this was the case with your professional training, as the limitation of training courses is usually that the assignments are so canned that during the class you feel like you are learning a lot...but when you leave you don't really know where to start to do it on your own!

The feedback we generally get from our students (other than "this class was a lot of work"!) is that we have really helped students combine the theoretical and the vocational aspects of the class so they are prepared to utilize what they have learned. We would bring this skill and expertise to your profesional course.

So, if you are interested in taking one of our courses as a professional class, feel free to send us an email (Doug Wenstrand, Joseph Haber). We would be happy to customize material from our VHDL/FPGA Design, DSP Hardware Design Laboratory, or SOC FPGA Design Laboratory class for you.

We would suggest that we teach a course on-site at your location, and include in the cost of the class a development board for each student. We would be working from our classroom material, but would happily customize it to fit your specific needs.
